Author Guidelines
Structure of a Dilim
Every dilim contains four mandatory parts; their internal arrangement is left to the author.
- Abstract / Öz: in Turkish and in English, each of at most 150 words; 4 to 6 keywords.
- Data / Veri: examples are numbered and glossed according to the Leipzig Glossing Rules. The language and variety are specified, and the source of the data (the author's judgements, field elicitation, a corpus or a published source) is stated in one sentence. Where experimental data are used, the method is described briefly.
- Knot / Düğüm: the theoretical proposal that the data contradict, or the proposals between which they decide, and the reasons for this. A paper without this section is not sent for review.
- References: Unified Style Sheet for Linguistics.
Judgement Data
In theoretical linguistics the author's judgement is evidence, and acceptability is marked with diacritics (*, ?, #). For data based on judgements, the author is not asked for a number of speakers or for an experiment.
Statements and the First Page
The paper ends with statements on ethics, conflicts of interest and funding, and, in multi-authored papers, a contribution statement following the CRediT taxonomy. The first page carries the dates of submission and acceptance and the ORCID identifiers of the authors.
Style and Templates
References follow the Unified Style Sheet for Linguistics, and examples the Leipzig Glossing Rules. LaTeX and Word templates are being prepared and will be available on this page.
