Artificial intelligence tools cannot be authors. The use of generative artificial intelligence in writing the text, in the analysis or in preparing examples is declared in the paper; tools used only for spelling and language checking require no declaration. Language examples generated by artificial intelligence may not be presented as speaker data or as the author's judgements. Undeclared use of artificial intelligence output is regarded as a breach of publication ethics. Reviewers and editors may not upload the papers they assess to generative artificial intelligence tools.
