Call for Short Articles for the first volume of Faz

Faz: A Journal of Theoretical Linguistics for Early-Career Researchers now accepts Short Article submissions for its first volume. The journal publishes studies in syntax, semantics, phonology, morphology, pragmatics and the interfaces between them that address a single theoretical question about a single structure and argue explicitly for an analysis; studies in which a theoretical proposal is tested experimentally or on corpus data are also considered.

The first author must be enrolled in a master's or doctoral programme, or have received a doctorate no more than three years before submission; supervisors and senior researchers may appear as co-authors. Articles may be written in Turkish or English, run to at most 3,000 words excluding references and appendices, and carry an abstract of no more than 150 words and three to five keywords in each language. Linguistic examples follow the Leipzig Glossing Rules and citations the Unified Style Sheet for Linguistics; Word and LaTeX templates are available on the Author Guidelines page.

Submissions undergo double-anonymous review by two reviewers, and the first decision is intended to reach the author within three weeks of the pre-review. Faz follows a continuous publication model: each accepted article appears without waiting for an issue to be completed. Articles are published open access under CC BY 4.0, and no fee is charged for submission, review or publication. Submissions are made through the journal system; questions may be sent to fazdergi@gmail.com.
