About the Journal

The Turkish Journal of Psycholinguistics (TJPL) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing original research on how language is acquired, represented, produced, comprehended, and lost. Open to authors worldwide, it welcomes experimental, computational, theoretical, and methodological contributions on any language, with a standing commitment to cross-linguistic breadth and methodological rigour.

The Turkish Journal of Psycholinguistics (TJPL) is an international, open-access journal devoted to the scientific study of language as a cognitive and neural system. It publishes original research on the acquisition, representation, production, comprehension, and breakdown of language across the lifespan, spanning first-language and bilingual development, sentence and discourse processing, the mental lexicon, speech perception, reading, language production, neurolinguistics, clinical and atypical populations, and the computational and quantitative modelling of language behaviour.

Open to scholars everywhere, the journal evaluates every submission solely on its quality and contribution, regardless of the author's location or the language under study. The word "Turkish" in the title is geographic — it marks where the journal is based — and places no limit on its scope. As an editorial priority rather than a restriction, TJPL actively encourages cross-linguistic and typologically diverse work that extends psycholinguistic theory beyond the small set of languages on which it has historically been built.

Peer Review. All submissions undergo double-anonymized peer review by at least two independent expert reviewers.
