About the Journal
CODE is a peer-reviewed journal on technology in the social sciences.
The name is a word, not an abbreviation: code is both the language of software, from apps to the G-code a 3D printer reads, and a key concept of the social sciences, from Bernstein's language codes to cultural codes. The journal publishes where the two meet: where code becomes an object, and the object becomes a human relationship.
