Open access and licence

CODE is a diamond open-access journal: there are no fees for authors at any stage (no submission, processing or publication charges) and no fees for readers.

• All articles are free to read on publication, with no embargo and no registration.
• Articles and their files are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0); software code may also be released under MIT or Apache-2.0. Authors retain copyright.
• Authors may deposit any version of their article in any repository.
• Articles are preserved through the PKP Preservation Network; products are archived on Zenodo.
• Metadata is open through the journal's OAI-PMH interface.
