About the Journal

The Journal of Applied Linguistics and Language in Use (Uygulamalı Dilbilim ve Dil Kullanımı Araştırmaları Dergisi, JALLU) is a rigorous, open-access, bilingual venue for data-driven applied linguistics research that examines language in actual use. It aims to show how linguistic knowledge helps to understand and address problems in law, health, media, technology and public life (see Aims and Scope).

Four features set the journal apart: short, focused article types; mandatory data transparency; a "From the Field" section co-authored with practitioners; and a fast first decision (see Publication Model and Article Types).
