Artsürem Journals Platform

Journal applications

The Artsürem Journals Platform is open to all peer-reviewed journals that share our principles. Applications are assessed by an independent board. Each year, a limited number of journals join the platform.

Who can apply

Peer-reviewed journals in art, language, psychology and society, whether newly founded or looking to move.

What we offer

  • Hosting

    The publishing system, a domain name, security, backups and archiving.

  • Publishing services

    Everything in hosting, plus DOI registration, metadata checks, a typesetting template, plagiarism screening and preparation for indexing.

  • Co-publishing

    Everything in publishing services, plus Artsürem as co-publisher, design and publishing consultancy.

What we look for

  • An editorial board of at least five members, at least a third of them from other institutions.
  • Double-anonymized peer review, with at least two independent reviewers per article.
  • Ethics policies in line with COPE’s principles.
  • Open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
  • No fees after acceptance, and preferably no fees at all.
  • Articles by editors and board members making up no more than a quarter of any issue, and authors not concentrated in a single institution.

Process and timeline

  1. Pre-application
  2. Initial screening within two weeks
  3. Assessment by the board
  4. Agreement
  5. Trial issue
  6. Publication on the platform

The board meets in May and November, and decisions are made within eight weeks. Pre-applications are open now; the first assessment round is in May 2027.

What we do not promise

We do not promise acceptance by indexes, rapid publication or any particular impact factor; indexing decisions are made by the indexes themselves.
